Fishing In East Coast Shipwreck - Nelayana

Me and Kelvin getting ready for war tonight....

A 2kg Grouper was wrestled out of the shipwreck......

My customed Sabre P:5 rated rod bend doubled suddenly....My baby Accurate 870 narrow was tested to the limits...when the fish went on a one-way-ticket mode...Even on a full-locked drag, the fish never looked like stopping...

After a series of tug of war, i managed to slow the run. Me, holding on to the last phase of the 15 minutes battle and steadily pumped the fish up...My feelings for the action of the fish, was a Stingray.....

True enough, it was a Stingray. The fish, as seen here, was halfway safely onboard now....And, my baby Accurate870 narrow stood the test of Power and Drag Smoothness......to combat biggest.....

My 10kg Stingray or Pari Lalat and me with my eyes shut wide...

Kelvin was also in the thick of the action....with his Shimano Spiral rod delivering the goods,.....A 3kg Ang chor or Ungah was the catch...

Jacque posing with a 2kg Ang Chor Ki...She was having a good[easy] time reeling the power handles of the small and cute baby Accurate 870 narrow lever drag reel...

Iv'e baited a cocktail of fresh squid-head with half body of Gar fish, and handed the rod to my wife, Jacque. Just when she released the bait to the bottom, there was a huge take......My Accurate 870 narrow reel was tested again....but, this time the fight only last about 3 to 4 minutes....till out came....

An Ang Chor or Ungah was safely landed......The sized was so much-much bigger than the average table size...

Me posing with the sought after fish we crave for....the Ang Chor........or Ungah....This fish weight-in at about 6kg...

Me and my wife, Jaque posing with our Gold....

A sudden jerk on my rod and i proceed to pumped it.... It feels more like the feeling of a Stingray, again for now....

The Stingray being pulled safely on board....

My 2nd stingray of the night...Giving me quite a workout althought its only 3kg in weight.....

The best harvest i've ever experienced boatfishing in singapore waters since my childhood days fishing in a sampan with my dad in the late 80's.....

Me, posing with the bounty of the night....

Fishing In South China Sea - 2006

My south china sea trip was with the legendary ever orang laut, Mr John Hendrick...He was a sea Captain in his prime. Most of the spots he brought us were very productive. The biggest fish caught by me in this trip was the 7kg Jiahan. I, also mananaged a magnificient pair of Barracudas and Groupers in the 2 to 3kg range. A fishing specialist in my group, Mr Kelvin Kay mananged to catch most of the Ang Chors and Ang Kuys in the 2 to 3kg range....Total catch seen here were around 70 fishes....
