Fishing In Changi With My Brothers..[Raju's]

Me in Punggol Marina...getting ready for the day's fishing...

A picture of Raju's boat....

I was using a G-loomis gl3 rod for this trip to target the Chermins.....or the Ang Chors.....or the Sa Muo Kong....??? Just realisticaly wanted a good fight in our singapore waters...

The rod was coupled with a Shimano Calcutta 250 reel. This reel got a very smooth drag.... Main line was Berkley Fireline Crystal 14lb...

I was also using one of Beez customed rod. The blank was called Stealth, and it was from Australia. Afco line rollers were used....

See the Australia flag on the custom rod....

Alan, the ever hardcore fisherman.....

The rod was coupled with an Abu 6500 reel...

Picture of me n my wife, Jacque...

Picture of Beez n Canyon....
Two couples who are so much in love with Fishing....

Nice fish caught from my wife, Jacque.....An Ungah or Ang Chor of 2kg++ Opening ceremony by her again, lar....

What we didn't know was, the line cross with Alan's rod and he gentlemanly reeled the Ungah up for her...

Me, took advantage by taking pictures with...ahem..mm....my wife fish...

Catfish rising to the surface...Anyone never shave today....???

Not me, cause i shaved today....The Misai of the Catfish seen here....Admired it....

The Catfish was quite a big size...Probably around 2 to 3kgs in weight...I'll tell u a secret..!!! Next time, shaved the Catfish mousthage and let it go....The other Catfish friends will see it and would run away....U believe me???.......

Some nice surprises like this table sized Kee fish was caught....

Beez also never failed to surprised me with a Kertang johnson grouper......
Beez's Abu rod was bending down furiously....He grabbed and pumped it....He gracefully fought the fish in a professional manner!!!.........Halfway up, the fish was attacked by a Barracuda...Noticed the size of the bontot or back-fins of the 2kg Ungah...
Some big sprinters then hit and run causing my Abu 6500 alarm to scream....I managed to held the whatever fish from diving deeper... ....only after knowing, in my own feelings, that its a middle water fish, i handed the halfway battle to Jacque....
Resuming the battle with the fish was Jacque...The fish gave such a thrill by diving and sprinting at a fast pace...

Even when the fish gets closer to the boat it demonstrates great stamina, by diving again & again, taking more line and causing the custom rod to bend doubled....What a fight...!!!
A 2kg Sa Muo Kong was the champion sprinter......
It was total chaos, when, 04 rods were suddenly whacked and bended doubled.....To our surprised, all the commotions were the Diamond Trevallys travelling in group...and thus attacked our baits...

But only 03 Chiew Beng or Chermins were subdued.....Note the coral-shiny colour on the head....

The 03 Diamonds, each about 2 to 3kgs.....

The Sa Muo Kong......

The Ang Chor....note, the mole is missing....

Our total catch of the day, with all the undersized fishes being released back for suvival...

Me, posing with the catch of the day...
