Bottom Bashing Wt Team Mysterious...

Me and my team continued to embarked on, off-shore boat fishing after a one year lay-off to all boat fishing activities...We combined together with the ever experienced, Team Mysterious...

Uncle Chong diving to cut the rope, after it was being entangled in the propeller...

The rope ...being released....phew...!

Now...we set out for the hunt...

Me, and my 1st boat bashing trip this year..i was using my customed Stealth (p.2 to 4), made in Australia blank rod paired wt Shimano Calcutta 250...
Alia and Hafiz's 1st ever boat fishing....

Everbody were excited upon waiting...to wet our lines...

Jacq, breaking the duck for our team wt a catch of 600g Flounder...

Mateen was spotted on when he told me that, my rod had registered a strong bite, upon checking, i striked and had a moment of stopping the fish from diving straight down below, bottom and into the rocks..now, it felt more like Grouper...and the first 5 to 10 seconds were crucial when fighting this fish...

I gave a short series of carefully gentle mannered stroked, in pumping up the fish....And once its middle water and closer to the boat, i had to exert pressure again to prevent the fish from diving under the boat...
I prevailed and the fish was badly beaten and it was netted skillfully by Raymond....

It was a gem of a catch and a hell of a fight..and it was an angry Ikan Kerapu.

Me posing with an excellent fighter cum diver, the Mr Grouper or Ikan Kerapu...
The GaoHer was about 2.5kg and it had green eyes, like wearing contact lenses...

At this time, the bites slowed down..and the currents were stronger with sinkers up to sizes 8 to 10 j-series.....

When...Suddenly, Jacq's got a big bite and she striked...and it was on..She was shocked by the sheer power of the whatever fish being hooked..thus causing everyone to panic...

Jacq's Eupro rod was bended furiously with line screaming out from her Shimano 200...

The tug-of-war was incredible with the fish never want to give up...always diving..causing her Eupro rod to bend furiously. Jacq was having a torrid but enjoyment fight, but when it came up, after badly beaten and bruised, it was...

Ah Seng.....but since nobody wanted to pose with the moustached fella...i took the liberty to do so...

Me posing with the popular orang kampung fish, a 1.5kg Ikan Duri, courtesy of Jacq...

The 2.5kg Grunter or Ikan Gerut2 was caught by the experienced boatman, uncle Chong, with just using a handline...that's an amazing skill...witnessed by all of us...
